El Avion Restaurante
In the 1980s a pair of Fairchild C-123s were used to run guns to the Nicaraguan Contras. When the Iran-Contra scandal broke the planes were abandoned; this one in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Eventually it was purchased, disassembled, transported up into the hills, and reassembled as the centerpiece of this incredible restaurant.
