National Museum of the Great Lakes
Sure, it is mostly a boat museum. But the Great Lakes hosted early training for WWII fighter pilots as they learned how to fly on early aircraft carriers. And the National Museum of the Great Lakes has a spectacular exhibit about that bit of aviation history.
